Phase 1 of 3
Set up your program
Do these in order before your first busy shift. Skip Packages if you are not selling prepaid.
- Set business name, currency, and language.
- Turn on only the features you use: Points, Gift card, Packages.
- Save name / currency / language when prompted; feature toggles save immediately.
Tip: Start with Points on. Add Gift card or Packages later once you know how you will sell them.
- Choose points-per-visit or spend-to-points.
- Set the default amount and an optional join bonus for new customers.
Tip: Use one clear customer story (for example “1 point per visit”) and align reward tiers with that pace.
- Add tiers with a points cost and a short title.
- Keep a tier active only if customers can redeem it today.
Tip: Short titles scan better on wallet passes (for example “Free coffee”). Make the first tier feel achievable.
- Enable Packages in Company settings if you sell prepaid.
- Add a small catalog: name, price, included uses, active on/off.
Tip: A few clear offers outperform a long list. Deactivate items you stop promoting.
- Add each store or counter where you scan.
- Assign this device to the location where it sits.
Tip: Set the device location before the first shift so activity lands on the right store.
- Create each teammate with their own access code.
- Limit locations if needed; reset or deactivate codes when someone leaves.
Tip: One person, one code. Never share a single counter PIN.
Phase 2 of 3
Serve customers
Everyday counter flows: enroll, scan, award, look up, and check how you are doing.
- Start every shift from Home: scan, give points, look up, new customer, activity.
- Use Switch user so the next teammate unlocks with their own code.
Tip: Keep settings under Settings so Home stays focused on serving customers.
- Tap Scan or Give points, then point the camera at their wallet QR.
- Confirm the amount when awarding; enter an access code if the device asks.
Tip: Good light and a steady frame help. Use manual entry if the camera struggles.
- Open New customer and let them scan the join QR with their phone camera.
- They add your pass to Apple or Google Wallet. No customer app required.
Tip: Keep Join ready during busy hours so signup does not block scanning members.
- Search a member to redeem, adjust balances, sell or use packages, and view history.
- Archive members you no longer expect to see.
Tip: If they forgot their phone, find them by name here. Still prefer a wallet scan when you can.
- Pick today, 7 days, or 30 days to review activity.
- Use it after changing awards or rewards to see if behavior shifted.
Tip: Metrics follow the features you enabled. Turn features on only if you use them.
Phase 3 of 3
Keep the counter secure
How device, staff, and owner modes work so the right people can act and settings stay protected.
- Device mode: browse freely; confirm actions with an access code.
- Unlock as staff for a shift, or as owner for Settings, then return to device mode when you step away.
Tip: Never leave owner mode unlocked on a shared counter.
